This Week at St. Stan's
High School Fair - Wednesday
Representatives from twelve Catholic high schools will be visiting our campus from 2pm to 3:30pm on Wednesday, September 15. All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students will attend the fair during school hours. Representatives will be around until 3:30pm in case any middle school parents would also like information. We ask that parents wait until 3:05pm to enter the building to ensure that we have proper dismissal of students. The fair will be held in the school library.
i-Cook, i-Code, i-STEAM Courses
These afterschool enrichment courses still do not have enough students signed up in order to run the class. We have altered the plan one more time to shorten the length of each course and make it more affordable.
If we do not have enough students signed up by Friday, September 17, we will have to scrap the courses altogether. I ask that parents consider this valuable afterschool learning opportunity and sign-up as soon as possible. Please encourage others to do the same and contact our office if you have further questions.
Caught Being a Leader
We have reignited a program here at St. Stan's called "Caught Being a Leader." Students who demonstrate leadership during the school day, especially without being prompted by a teacher, receive a "CBL Certificate" and turn it in at the office. At the end of each week, we read off the names of those students who were "caught" and pick a name or two from a basket as a special prize winner.
FSP Menu Changes
Due to logistical challenges related to the ongoing pandemic, the lunch menu as published by Food Service Professionals (FSP) may not be entirely accurate day-to-day. There is no worry that students will be fed and receive a meal, but the meal may changed based on the availability of product.

Gentle Reminders
Tardiness - Thank you!
I want to thank families for being more proactive this past week in arriving to school on time. Students were tardy far less often than the previous week, which contributed greatly to a more positive learning environment. Please keep taking those proper steps in the morning to get students out of bed and off to school.
School Uniforms
Each Friday, students should be dressing in their "formal uniforms." This should occur whether we are having Mass or doing a prayer service on that day. The only time this policy changes is if you hear directly from the Principal's office.
Seasonal Clothing
I asked the students this week to keep an eye on weather reports so that they can properly dress for school. There were a few cooler mornings last week, so it's important that we keep in mind that fall is around the corner. It is particularly important to note the weather if your child is going to be dropped off a little earlier in the morning.
