Congratulations to the JV Red ladies for defeating Duncanville High School in a double header Monday night and remaining UNDEFEATED!!
JV and Varsity defeated Eastern Hills over spring break improving their district record to 4-0.
CHHS Mens Varsity Soccer
We congratulated the CHHS Men’s Varsity Soccer team for their exciting win over Grapevine on March 3, winning in a penalty shootout. Juan Esparza did an excellent job as keeper to help secure the victory. The Class of 2017 was celebrated on March 7, at Senior Night, prior to their winning game over Carter Riverside. We honor these athletes for their soccer career at CHHS: Juan Esparza, Kari Pate, Tanner Rodriguez, Jonathan Martin, Zubair Muqueet, Collin Enright, Chris Ramirez, Jason Dugan, Mathew York and Jack Walker. Best wishes, Seniors, in your next endeavors!
Varsity and JV1 wrapped up their seasons on March 10th against Richland, and JV2 will complete their season in their game against Byron Nelson on Monday, March 20th at 4:30 pm.

The girl's track and field team competed at the Hoot Smith Relays on Thursday. Both the Varsity and JV teams finished third overall, and the following girls placed in the top-3 of their events:

Lady Panthers Soccer Game Update
Varsity played two games this week:
*Tuesday they played Carter Riverside and won 9-0
*Friday they played Richland and tied but lost in PKs 4-2
This finishes the season in fourth place and we are ready for playoffs.
JV this week:
*Tuesday the JV defeated Carter Riverside 2-0
*Friday they beat Richland 4-1.
CHHS Girls Soccer Spotlight Player of the Week
Cassidy Anderson-JV Sophomore #24
Cassidy plays center right wing for CHHS. She has played soccer for 8 years. She is active in Students Standing Strong and Crossfit. Cassidy plays soccer for CHHS because she loves the sport and it is the sport she does best. She said she has learned a lot from her teammates and she has grown a lot since her freshman year.
Chloe Irene Davis-JV Sophomore #15
Chloe plays defense for CHHS. She has played select soccer for Saints Soccer & Hurst United. When not playing soccer she likes to write poems. Chloe plays soccer for CHHS because likes the sport and wants to improve her skills.
Rachel Hagar-JV Sophomore #7
Rachel plays wing/left back for CHHS. She has played select soccer for 3 years. She is also active in Cross Country. Rachel plays soccer for CHHS because she wants to improve her skills.
Caitlin Phillips-JV Sophomore #19
Caitlin plays midfield/forward for CHHS. She has played select soccer for 3 years. She is also active in Choir and Art. Caitlin plays soccer for CHHS because she loves being with her friends and getting more touches on the ball.
Emma Davis-JV Sophomore #27
Emma plays defense for CHHS. She has played select soccer for Saints Soccer. She is also active in Sports & Art. Emma plays soccer for CHHS because she loves the sport and she has been playing since she was 8 years old. Soccer has allowed her to meet so many nice friends.
CHHS Boys Soccer
Jack Walker, Senior,Defensive Back, #23
Jack is one of the captains of the varsity team. He plays many different defensive positions for the team. As a child, Jack loved to run around and kick things, so soccer was a great fit for him . Eventually, it became a passion and he has played since he was four years old. He hopes to continue playing at the United States Coast Guard Academy. He enjoys playing with his friends and team mates at CHHS. He has many goals for this season. He wants to score 3 goals, make the First team All District, and have 5 clean sheets. His favorite class at CHHS is AP Statistics because he enjoys numbers and the challenging problem solving. After CHHS Jack has received and accepted his appointment to the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut.
Tanner Rodriguez, Senior, Outside Back, #6
Tanner is a force to be reckoned with on the defensive team. He makes a difference when he is on the field. Tanner grew up playing soccer and loves the sport. He enjoys playing soccer everyday during school hours . He hopes to make the All District team this year . His favorite classes at CHHS are Government and Economics because he enjoys politics. After high school Tanner would like to continue playing soccer in college and then professionally.

Trey Jackson , Sophomore, midfielder, #6
Trey has played soccer for his whole life and he loves the sport. He enjoys watching everyone on his team get better at playing as JV1 team . Trey also likes having a new and better coach that knows the game of soccer. His personal goals for soccer this season are to sprint faster, get stronger on the ball and get ready for Varsity. Trey's favorite class is Algebra 2 because he loves the challenge of finding patterns and equations. Mr.Lee is his favorite teacher because he is both his soccer coach and Algebra 2 teacher. His goals beyond high school are to play soccer, get an A coaching license.
Abhay Apte,Junior, Midfielder #5
Abhay has enjoyed playing since he was little and enjoys playing at CHHS. He likes interacting with his teammates and the competitiveness of the game . This year he would like to enhance his soccer skills and increase his athleticism. Abhay's favorite class is English 3 Pap with Mrs. Gravens. Mrs. Gravens is a cool teacher and it is a fun class. After CHHS, Abhay would like to go to college and pursue a degree in genetics.

Jaxon Holt,Freshman, Defender #20
Jaxon has played soccer since he was little and stuck with the sport. He enjoys playing soccer everyday for CHHS because he has Coach Thrash . Jaxon hopes to play his best this year for Coach Thrash. His favorite class is art . His goals beyond high school are to go to college, get married and of course, play soccer!!!
Zach Dennis, Freshman, Defender , #5
Zach's dad encouraged him to play soccer at a young age and he found out that he enjoyed the game. He enjoys representing CHHS on the soccer pitch and playing with his friends . Zach's goals this season are to win district, work hard, and have less than 1 goal scored on during the season. His favorite class is AP Human Geography with Mr. Stanley because it is an interesting class and Mr. Stanley is a cool teacher. Zach has many goals beyond high school. He first wants to go to college , then get married, make bank and have kids.
CHHS Boys Track and Field
At the L.D. Bell Hoot Smith Relays on March 9th, the Boys Track and Field Team competed against some of the most high caliber teams in the area and took several of the top medals at the meet.
