Preschool Parking
Hi everyone. Sorry to be sending out another email- just a quick word on parking. I've had a few neighbors complain lately and I want to make sure I keep everyone happy, so a few tweaks to our preschool comings and goings can do just that
1. Please Please Please do not turn around in front of the house. Its not the safest idea with children crossing the street and I've had a few neighbors complain (what can I say, I live on a street with a lot of retired people with a lot of time on their hands). My street is a U, so you can enter on either Country Terrace and follow the U back out to Gibson or visa versa. It shouldn't add more that a second to your busy day.
2. My neighbor Betty who lives right across the street is unhappy that we're driving up onto her sidewalk. It's nit picky, I know, but she's in her 80s and anything we can do to keep an 80 year old lady happy is good karma for us. The best policy is to just to try and not park in front of her house at all, but if you have to be very conscious of not getting your car wheels on her sidewalk. She doesn't like the tire marks and thinks we get mud on her route to the mailbox. She's an otherwise lovely lady, so I'd like to keep in her good graces.
Let me know if you have any questions, and after a lengthy conversation (or maybe lecture) with Betty I promised I'd monitor it a bit more, so forgive my reminders in the next little bit until we get used to the adjustment. Thanks for your patience and cooperation.
