WCS Strategic Planning
illuminating the future, together
What is the Strategic Plan?
The Watauga County Schools Strategic Plan is a document that will guide our work as educators to best serve students. The Plan focuses on five key priorities (which are derived from the NC State Board of Education's goals):
- Every student in Watauga County Schools graduates from high school prepared for work, further education, and citizenship.
- Every student has a personalized education in Watauga County Schools.
- Every student, every day has excellent educators in Watauga County Schools.
- Watauga County Schools has up-to-date financial, business, and technology systems to serve its students, parents, and educators.
- Every student in Watauga County Schools is healthy, safe, and responsible.
Where do I come in?
To develop a Strategic Plan that benefits the entire Watauga County Schools community, we need feedback from all of our stakeholders: faculty, staff, parents, students, community partners, and more.
By answering three simple questions, you can help guide the process of creating the Strategic Plan. You can submit your responses at http://bit.ly/wcsplan, or write them directly on this flyer.
In answering these questions, you're welcome to consider any aspect of operations in Watauga County Schools -- teaching and learning, finances, technology, safety, transportation, child nutrition, maintenance, etc.
