The Quartering Act
The Quartering Act required the colonist to let British soldiers live in their house. They had to provide food, water, fuel, candles and beer. With the effectiveness of the Quartering Act it enraged the colonist that they had to house the soldiers. In order to end the Quartering Act the 3rd Amendment was passed to keep soldiers from housing in colonist houses.
The Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was written because of the debt England was in because of the French and Indian War. The Stamp Act forced the colonist to pay a tax on most written material such as newspapers, Pamphlets, Marriage Licences and playing cards. Colonist weren't just angered by the tax they had to pay. They were also angered about the fact that their freedom was being threatened because they had no say so in the law. The colonist protested the Stamp Act by Agreeing to not buy anything British, Not letting Stamped papers be unloaded from the docks, and made a Stamp Act Congress who eventually did away with the Act

The Tea Act required the colonist to only get tea from the British East indies company. Even thoe it lowered the price of tea they still opposed it. They still opposed it because it was England again making decision for the colonist without consulting them. To protest the Tea Act the colonist raided the 3 British ships in the Boston Harbor and dumped the tea in the Harbor.
The Intolerable Acts
This Act was passed in reaction to the actions that happen with the Tea Act. The Coercive Act closed the ports of Boston and imposed military rule on Massachusetts. The colonist feared that if this british rule continued then the other colonies would lose their rights. The colonist as a opposition to the Act created "minutemen" that were men who stored arms and trained to battle at a minutes notice.
First Continental Congress
At the First Continental Congress they Made the Declaration of Rights that ceased all imports and exports from and to England and violaters would be tarred and feathered.
Lexington and Concord
Englands Parliament rejected all the forms for change from the First continental congress. Then British soldiers marched near Lexington and Concord to seize stores of colonial gunpowder and arms and to capture the "rebel" leaders. At Lexington colonist that had joined the militia met the british soldiers. Because it was colonist and british soldiers there and they were most of the world so when the shot was shot most of the world heard it. Because of Lexington and Concord the Revolutionary War began.
