Improving Student Achievement

and Hybrid Best Practices

Want to Improve Student Achievement?

Multiple choice, True/False, essay questions - these are limiting when trying to assess content mastery! Want to increase student engagement and content mastery in your course? Have your students try Digital Storytelling!

Whether it is scholarly storytelling, or a personal story, everyone has a story to tell. Join us for a 3 day Digital Storytelling Workshop. You will write a short first person narrative using the 7 Steps of Digital Storytelling, learn to use audio/video production technology, understand the elements of multimedia creation, and produce your own story. Create, share, and learn how to integrate into whatever you teach!

June 4, 5, 6 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Attendees must RSVP and lunch will be provided! Mark your calendar now!

Summer Hybrid Instruction Best Practices Training

This summer I will be offering a Moodle & hybrid instruction workshop EVERY Wednesday 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM from May 21 - July 9. Use this time to prepare for your fall courses. We will focus on setting up a Moodle course shell that will create a uniform experience for our students. We will focus on:

  • Creating a profile
  • Setting up a uniform experience in the course blocks
  • Use of Panopto, and why it is important
  • Gradebook

You may come and work with me as I pace you through setting up your Moodle course, or for those with more experience - come, sit in the back and work. I will be there to answer your questions!
