The Kersey Chronicles
Rockstars Choosing to Matter in Room 25
Career Center
To do this, I need YOUR GENIUS! Please consider taking a very short video of yourself explaining your career. This could be a quick 1 minute video taken with your smartphone or tablet - nothing fancy! This provides an opportunity for students to see how the skills they're learning in the classroom will transfer into a variety of career choices.
In the video, please include the following information:
- Your name
- Job title
- Brief description of what you do
- What did you have to do to get here (i.e. college, other jobs, training, etc)
- What skills do you use the most in your job (i.e. presentation skills, collaboration, math skills, close reading, etc)
- What is the most challenging thing about your job
- What you love the most about your job
- A final piece of advice or encouragement
When you finish your video, please email it to me so I can share it in the classroom with our students. This gives them an idea of what kind of jobs and careers are available to pursue. Thank you in advance for contributing to our Noble Crossing community in a powerful way! I can't do it without you!
