Music to my ears
Mr. Smith is an amazing educator who leads his students on a journey to a life long love of music. The amount of growth his students show from 6th grade to 8th grade is tremendous. He exhibits patience, praise and persistence towards his music students. Great job Mr. Smith!
A Players Coach
Coach Wilson does a phenomenal job both in the classroom and on the field. His players respond to him because of the positive and trusting relationship he builds with each of them. He teaches life lessons in responsibility, teamwork, sportsmanship and hard work! Coach Wilson has left a positive and lasting impression on many students at SBMS. We appreciate all you do Coach!
PEPs
It is time to start working on PEPs (Personalized Education Plans). These plans are done for any student who is in danger of failing, or who is failing, a class. Recently, the state dropped the requirement of the plans for all districts, but left it up to each LEA to determine if they would still use PEPs. Onslow County has opted to continue using PEPs as a part of the MTSS requirement. We will discuss the PEP process at our next planning period meeting.
