The Rolling Plains
Where the Grass Just Rolls On and On!
Rolling Plains Biography
The Rolling Plains is filled with lush green grass and trees. 1/3 of the area is used for extensive agriculture for crops like wheat and cotton, and the remaining 2/3 of the land is used for cattle ranching. Parts of rivers like the Trinity, Brazos, and Red flow through this region. The rivers support many types of wildlife like turkeys, quails, and other small animals.

Erosion
A process when small rocks and sediments are moved by wind, water, or ice. This picture shows a canyon being formed by water erosion.
Deposition
A process where sediments are placed or added to a piece of land. This picture shows the red river, where sediments are deposited.
