Welcome to 2023
In Faith
Tena koutou katoa,
Happy New Year - welcome to 2023!
As a kid, I remember watching a TV programme called Beyond 2000. In it we were awed by potential technological possibilities that would make our lives as humans that much more amazing. Somehow, we are now almost a quarter of a century past the year 2000 and are now living in the future we only dreamed about as kids. Some things have changed no doubt - telephones, computers, forecasting,to name but a few . . . yet many, many things have remained the same - cars still drive on roads, fruit still grows on trees, trampolines are still fun and the Lord continues to be faithful.
No doubt you’ve been giving 2023 much thought with regards to schooling for your children. As a parent, I’m in the same boat and I keep being reminded of my call as a parent - to train up my children in the ways of the Lord. This is our call and our calling and I know that that Lord hasn’t changed His mind with regards to this.
As we enter 2023, I wanted to let you know that:
We will be having our first day of school on February 7th
All classes will be operating as per normal up to the end of Term 2
As I noted at the end of last year, as people of faith we must stay in the faith zone, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. That is, He is the One who knows us, has planted the seed of faith within us and is the One who is shaping our faith so that, come the end of time, we may be presented to the Father ready and without blemish.
We are starting the year in February and in faith.
That is our call and our kaupapa. In faith. Trusting in the King of all kings and the Lord of all lords. Putting our faith in Jesus and knowing that He is faithful and just to do all that He has spoken.
Over the next weeks I will be working with the team to ensure that we provide the best Christian education we can for our kids. We have an amazing team and I acknowledge them all for their heart, determination, skill and talents. We will make the most of the time we have and we will rejoice in that which the Lord has given us.
As for what the plan is after Term 2 - “work in progress…faith in progress.” We will continue to work with the Board and Proprietors on developing this and will continue to keep you informed as things develop.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school office.
2023 - in the faith zone

Verse for the week:
