Sock Drive

Each December, our GLC community collects new socks for those in our community less fortunate. Classes will be collecting socks from December 6th-15th. The class with the greatest number of new socks will celebrate with a hot chocolate party. Thank you in advance for helping us help our broader community!

Open Enrollment for 2022-23

As a charter school, GLC holds open enrollment each year from December to early February. During this period of time, all enrollment requests have equal opportunity of securing a seat. After open enrollment, requests are taken in order of receipt and, if space is not available, students are placed on waiting lists by grade level.

All students currently enrolled in grades TK-7 are automatically provided a seat for the 2022-23 school year. However, GLC families who have a child entering kindergarten (or transitional kindergarten) must complete an enrollment request form for 2022-23. GLC siblings are guaranteed a seat, unless a class fills up and there are no more seats available. Therefore, it's best to submit your application during the open enrollment period.

If you have friends or family who may be interested in attending GLC, please share this information with them. Applications are available on our website and in our front office.

Student Recognition Assemblies

We will be holding student recognition assemblies in our Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) for grades K-6 on Friday, 12/10. Parents with students who are being recognized will receive a note from their child’s teacher. Please plan to come at least 5 minutes early in order to sign in prior to the assembly. Please note that masks must be worn indoors. Our grade 7/8 assembly will be held on Monday, 12/13.

Homework Help!

The VUSD After-hours Academic Assistance (AAA) program is available to all VUSD students grades K-12 at no charge, four evenings a week. Homework assistance is lead by certificated VUSD teachers. For more information and to access the tutoring Zoom links, visit:
