Rosa Parks refused on the afternoon of Dec. 1, 1955, to give up her bus seat so that a white man could sit. Rosa was then arrested for not giving up her sit for a white man,

What caused the situation?

What cause this situation was Rosa Parks was in the bus and a white man approached her and told her to get up. She refused to get up and so the white man called the cops, so she got arrested.

What is the purpose of the boycott?

To say it was not right to arrest a person that is different race than you to just have a bus seat.

What effects are you trying to get?

We are trying to get people to realize that this event was not right.
