Principal's Message
Greetings OMHS Families,
As the weather gets warmer, we want to ensure that students’ academic habits stay hot too. Senioritis can be contagious and 3rd and 4th quarters are not a time to let habits slide. Please help students monitor their grades and stay on top of assignments this spring. Throughout Quarter 3, students have been persistent in striving to achieve their goals. Here are a few highlights from this winter:
· Join us in celebrating a few of our fantastic students and their accomplishments:
o Anabel Yeboah – Towson University Outstanding Woman Leader
o Jade Ramos, Dominic Wainwright, Shemsa Johnson, and Keon Massey – Baltimore Ravens Outstanding Leaders
o Fabris Fotembe, Tyler Dixon, Zavien Cottonham, and Chad Ward – Indoor Track State Place Winners in 4x400 meter race.
· This month we recognized 253 students who earned Academic Honor Roll status; 56 of those students earned straight A’s – way to go Eagles!
· Bravo to Mr. Bishop Moore and the various choirs to perform at the annual Black History Showcase this month. We appreciate your collaboration with local schools, artists, and the community to host this event.
· We express our gratitude to Ms. Rosalyn Gaines for sharing items from her personal collection of African art and artifacts to help us celebrate Black History. Thanks goes out to Ms. Cynthia McClain-Purdie and her students for their research and displays celebrating Black leaders and innovators.
· Kudos to those who auditioned and were selected the first annual, Eagles Got Talent event on March 26th. Thanks to Mr. Lewin for organizing this community event.

Proud teacher moment - Dance
This past Friday, (November 1st) Dance Company and 3 members of the Dance III class attended the Dorothy P. Stanley Dance Festival at Morgan State University. They took master classes in ballet, liturgical, modern, African and jazz with professional working artists/artistic directors. They performed a new work titled “Revolt” in the evening performance. They represented our building with a high level of professionalism, maturity, and showmanship. If you see any of these dancers, please give them some praise 😊
