Beginning of Second Semester
From the Principal
Breaks are nice, but it's so nice to be back at work. Students and staff seem well-rested and ready to get back to work!
One of our campus goals this year is to raise our attendance rate 1%. An increase by just 1% would increase funding to our district and school A LOT! Based on our numbers from 1st semester, our attendance rate is up 1.3% from last year! This is awesome!! There are a lot of factors that go into this increase, but the main one is PARENTS! I just wanted to thank you guys for partnering with us to get kids to school everyday!
The spring semester is the busiest time for a high school; banquets, spring sports, fine arts performances, Spring Break, EOC and AP testing, prom and graduation - the school year just seems to be over as soon as the second semester begins. During this busy time, remember that our Administrators, Counselors, Teachers, and Staff are all here to help our students be successful. Please reach out to any of us if you or your student needs assistance.
Sincerely,
Brandi Hendrix

Grade Averaging
We want to remind everyone that it's never too late; a student's 1st and 2nd semester grades average together to create their final grade to determine credits.
If your student was unsuccessful in a class for the 1st semester, they can still gain credit for both semesters if they make at least a 70 when both semesters are averaged together.
