Training
Den Chief training for youth (Scouts) and adults (DLs) on 12 May along with LPST Cub Leader basic. Many units have asked for the Den Chief training so we are offering it with the "newest information and syllabus" v2018. We are going to try and coordinate it with the DL session of basic training as an addition at the end.

Texas Youth Protection Requirements
It is official; the current 2018 Online and Facilitator-Led Youth Protection Training meets state requirements and has been approved by the State of Texas effective March 13, 2018.
The youth protection training certificate that is issued upon successful completion for the online course will not, for the time being, have the approval number (YC06-0014) printed in the bottom right hand corner of the certificate. Councils should add the state approval number to certificates, issued March 13, 2018 or later, when they are collected for licensed camp use. Notification will be given to councils when computer issued certificates have the approval number printed on them.
The trainer will print and issue the certificate for those completing the facilitator-led course. You will receive via email a downloadable link that will provide you with the facilitator-led materials and printable certificates for those who successfully complete the training. These certificates will have the Texas approval number printed in the lower righthand corner of the certificate. Scout Executives working with the council Training Committee will select and orient those individuals who will conduct the facilitated training.
