HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Welcome back to our Rosa Parks Elementary community. We hope all of you are doing well and that you and your families have stayed safe over the Winter break.

I am excited to announce that Rosa Parks has been selected to participate in a Social and Emotional learning pilot program. The program is called Rhithm. Please see the letter below for further information. (Opt Out Forms in all languages can be found at the end of this newsletter.)

PWCS SUPPORTS GOOD ATTENDANCE HABITS!

Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school and themselves. Start building this habit now so they learn right away that going to school on time, every day, is important. Eventually good attendance will be a skill that will help them succeed in high school and college!

PWC Camp Scholarships are open!

The Count Me In scholarship program is provided by the Prince William County Parks Foundation and Prince William County Parks, Recreation & Tourism.

Scholarships are available to eligible families who reside in Prince William County. Eligibility is dependent on the level of need determined by the Federal Poverty Guidelines (at or below 130% of poverty level). If approved, a scholarship of $200 will be allocated for each age-appropriate child in the household. Scholarships will be provided in the form of a voucher to be utilized for Summer Camp programs. One voucher per qualifying dependent in the household.


A limited number of Count Me In Scholarships are available for 2023 summer programs. Applications will be accepted starting Tuesday, January 3, 2023 through January 27, 2023. (Camp Registration Begins March 7.)
