Town of Sunnyvale - Dec. 2, 2021
Christmas Tree Lighting
We are only one day away from our annual Christmas Tree Lighting! We hope you and your family will join us at Town Hall on Friday, Dec. 3 from 6 - 8:30 p.m.
Come see Santa, enjoy cookies and hot cocoa, make a fun snowflake craft, and enjoy the Sunnyvale Middle School choir as we light up the Christmas tree on the front lawn of Town Hall.
Thanks to our Platinum Sponsor Republic Services, 25,000 lbs of REAL snow will be blown into the grassy area near the stairs to Sunnyvale Park Square! Unfortunately the weather has warmed back up, so the snow will melt fast. You'll want to get here early before it melts away!
Parking:
The parking lot at Town Hall will be closed. Please park at Town Center Park and access Town Hall using the bridge; lighting will be in place.
We would like to thank Sunnyvale Park Square and Trinity Capital Bank for opening up their parking lots for use, as well. If you park at the bank, please be sure to park in a designated space and do not block access to the ATM.
We would also like to thank the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce and Oncor for sponsoring this event as well!

Tripp Road closure delayed
The construction on Tripp Road for the culvert replacement has been delayed until Dec. 18. The message boards on Tripp Road have been updated to reflect the delay.
Please plan an alternate route. Detour signage will be put in place and individual notifications to nearby property owners and residents are underway. The road will be closed entirely just west of the Town Center Park entrance.
Town Center Park will remain open, however the only way to access the park will be from the Collins Road side.
Tripp Road is expected to be closed for approximately four months.
