  • July 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30


Beyond assigned summer reading, students are also invited to check-out books from the library for personal reading fun throughout the summer. The library will also be open to provide internet access and a quiet place to access the internet or cool off in the summer.

7th Grade Reading Assignment

Library copies are available on a first come, first serve basis. Libary copies are paperbacks. Hardback copies are on loan from the Blount County Resource Center. Lost copies from the Resource Center will cost $16.00 to replace.

This assignment is for 7th grade students only. Assignment for Fever 1793 due on the first day of school, August 9, 2018

What is the assignment for grades 8-12?

Students need to read the book assigned. Students will be required to take a comprehensive reading quiz covering the entire text when they return to school in the fall. This will count as one of the first test grades for the grading period.

Monday Movie Nights: 6 pm to 8:30 p.m. in the Library

Our movie selections parallel themes of our assigned books. Each movie is specifically targeted to certain texts, but everyone is welcome for any show! Popcorn and drinks provided!

Student / Parent Google Apps Orientation

An overview of the Google Suite for education and how it will be used at the high school level will be provided on registration day, August 2nd, in the LFHS library. Time is still to be determined. Watch for LFHS announcements concerning registration.
