What we will be learning in October
Sept 28th: Short o; capable
October 5th: short u; carve
October 12th: Long a, silent e; consider
October 19th: Long i, silent e; core
October 26th: Long o, silent e; damp
In Math, students will work on using number relationships when counting coins and telling time. They will also solve one step problems with 2 digit numbers. Students will need to continue to work on fluency. This six weeks we will focus on doubling numbers, and doubling plus or minus one. In Science, students will investigate force, motion, and energy. Students will also continue to learn how to be good citizens, history and time, and technology in Social Studies.
