Curriculum
Reading: We will continue to practice reading our yellow practice books. Power words (sight words) will also begin being introduced. At conference time, we will discuss the level your child is reading at, goals to work toward and upcoming reading homework.
Math: Next week we will do the unit 1 test and start unit 2. Our focus will be understanding that numbers 6-10 are made up of a group of 5 plus some more. We will also concentrate on understanding that 1 more than a number is the next number in the count sequence.
