Class Schedule for December

Badlands Unit
Throughout this unit, you children have been exploring the history of the Badlands, the rock formations, the plants, and the animals. During the unit, students will complete a flipbook, make a 3D Map, and create a game for the activity day. Students will also have a number of different assignments throughout the unit.
3D Map
Students will need to make their own clay for our 3D Map. Here are the directions as follows.
Mix in heavy saucepan:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tsps. cream of tarter
Then add:
1 tsp. Cooking oil
1 cup water
food coloring of choice for map
Cook 3 minutes over low heat, or until mixture pulls away from sides of pan. Remove from heat. Let cool 1 minute. Knead. Add food coloring if desired. Store in airtight container. The clay will keep for several weeks.
Activity Day
***ALL parents/ guardians are welcome to join our class from 1:00 to 3:00 on December 15.
Snacks and drinks will be provided!
This is a time for students to show what they have learned as well as their creative side.
Field Trip
All costs for this trip are covered through a special donor Please make sure that students bring warm clothing in case it gets cold or the weather is not okay. Also, please contact me if you would like to be a chaperone for this field trip. We will need at least 3.
