Lincoln Bulletin Updates
As we have approached the middle of February Lincoln students, staff and families have been very busy. This week we dedicated time throughout the week to show kindness. Random Acts of Kindness Matters organization hosted many events, but we also integrated this at Lincoln School. Today our Hearts and Hands Club worked together to define acts of bullying to get a common understanding and students came together to begin to learn how to make Lincoln a safe enjoyable place for everyone. This club will continue throughout the year and our 4th and 5th-grade students will lead the learning with the guidance of the sponsors.
Today, to culminate the week of kindness I did an all-school read aloud of the book Be Kind by Pat Zietlow Miller. Students were reminded that small acts of kindness by each one of us joined together may grow into something big!
A big thank you to all of the PTO parents involved in the Bingo night, and the lead Mrs. Moline. Over $7500 was raised to help support future field trips, assemblies, and many other support resources for our Lincoln students.
Also, thank you for the sweets provided by the PTO to the teachers and the many parents that helped with our Valentines Day parties yesterday. Even though our intermediate grades do not have traditional parent lead parties they were able to enjoy the time and some classes were creative on how to extend our learning of perseverance and skills through a BearkoutEdu activity.
We are planning our 90th celebration and our next parent/staff planning meeting will be Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 3:30-4:30. We will finalize plans for the March 21 schoolwide assembly and the community celebration on Thursday, May 16. Student council members are helping us count down to the historic event through morning announcements. Also attached below are two order forms one for commemorative Lincoln shirts and also car magnets.

Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration has already begun. Lincoln’s website is conveniently linked to all of the incoming kindergarten registration forms. This site will give you access to all the forms necessary for registering your child. This has been very helpful to expedite the registration process and has been well received by parents! There is also a helpful “All Day Kindergarten FAQ” on this site as well. Please pass this information on to any incoming kindergarten families that are in your neighborhood.
