Fall Book Fair Success!

Thanks to all of you who supported our Fall Book Fair! We raised enough money to cover the costs for our wonderful author, Alan Gratz, who is coming Monday, October 23rd and we were able to donate Scholastic dollars to a needy library affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Tweens Read Book Festival -- a free event!

On October 21st, South Houston High School in Pasadena, Texas will be hosting this year's Tweens Read Book Festival. It is a free event for students in 5th - 8th grade. Authors will be there to talk to students about their new books that are coming out in the fall. There will be food trucks and Blue Willow Bookshop will be there selling books. Students can also have the books that they purchase that day autographed by the author at the end of the day. Alan Gratz, one of the authors that is going to be at Tweens Read, will be visiting with our students at Berry Miller Jr. High on October 23rd. Students will be hearing more about him in the weeks to come. Students who purchased his books can come during lunch on the 23rd to have them signed by the author.
