A european country

The capital of Spain is Madrid it is located in Europe and the sport that has been most popular in Spain is football (soccer) but some of the other sports are basketball, tennis, cycling, handball, motorcycling, water sports, gymnastics, golf and skiing. Some cuisine that is very highly loved in Spanish culture are Gazpacho, Paella, Torilla Española, and Pisto.

The Tagus is the longest river on the Iberian Peninsula. It is 1,038 km long, 716 km in Spain, 47 km along the border between Portugal and Spain and 275 km in Portugal, where it empties into the Atlantic Ocean near Lisbon. Teatro de la zarzuela

In the second half of the nineteenth century, Teatro de la Zarzuela became Madrid's leading opera house, staging many of the great masterworks. On November 9, 1909 the building was virtually destroyed by fire. The rebuild by Cesareo Iradier reduced the amount of wood and metal, and in 1914 Maestro Luna raised the curtain with his orchestra to reopen the theatre

Camp Nou

Camp Nou initially consisted of two tiers that could hold 93,000 spectators. It was first called Estadi del FC Barcelona, but got soon referred to as Camp Nou . It was the playing venue of the Euro 1964 Championships. It hosted the semi-final between the Soviet Union and Denmark (3-0), and the match for third place between Hungary and the same Denmark (3-1).

Toledo Cathedral

It would be hard to deny the fairy-tale charm of the cathedral of Saint Mary of Toledo, considered by some as the magnum opus of Gothic style architecture. The cathedral was commissioned in the 13th century by Ferdinand III of Castile and it was completed two centuries later. This architectural marvel built with white limestone is best known for the presence of light coming from the open vaults giving the whole place an otherworldly appearance.

Parque Nacional de la Caldera de Taburiente, La Palma

The 8-km wide, 2-km deep cauldron dominates the Caldera de Taburiente National Park. However, the rest of the park, which encompasses nearly 47km, features dense Canary Island pine forest. You'll also find some juniper trees here.
