Blaze Bulletin

Edition 4 - Week of September 7th

Dear teachers,

A reminder and an update on Primetime:

  • Teachers should not do "new" teaching during Primetime. Remember, students may be pulled from your class in order to go for help in another subject - and they should be allowed to go and not be penalized for missing "new" instruction during Primetime, which is for remediation/intervention/enrichment.
  • Priority days were requested for Primetime by some faculty:
    • M - Math
    • T - English
    • W - Science and Social Studies
    • Th - all courses
    • F - all courses

Have a wonderful and restful long weekend!

Dr. Leisa Justus

Principal, Blackman High School

Follow this link for instructions on how to add extra points in iNow for your honors, advanced honors, and AP classes. The extra points are not added automatically. Let Holly know if you have any questions or problems.

No Technician

No Technician Next Week

Next week, all RCS technicians will be working to complete cabling projects around the county that are needed to prepare computer labs for the upcoming online testing. That means that our hard-working tech, Carl Miller, won’t be here. Continue to send emails to report technology problems. Thank you for your patience!

Computer Lab Calendars

You may have noticed that the lab calendars are now filled with many testing dates. It is necessary to reserve the labs for all dates within the testing windows. Later, we may realize that we don't need to test on every date within a testing timeframe. If we see that not all dates are needed, we will release the labs for others to use.

Instructional Technology Survey

Ms. Hunter would like to provide you with instructional technology services at times and on topics that you and your students need. Please complete this instructional technology needs assessment by Thursday September 3. Thank you!
