Final FULL Week

Trust Me, Some Students Believed Friday Was the Last Day

Many, Many Things Left to Accomplish

While, yes, there are few days left in the school year, that does not excuse the facts that we have quite a bit to finish before moving on to fifth grade. This Friday we will have our test on plants. The study guide went home today and we will be practicing this the rest of the week. The students have written letters to their future teachers and to the students who will sit in their chairs next year. We've created slide shows about the biographies we have read as well as poems to highlight these special people.

In math, even though the students are now staying with me for the remainder of the year, they are working on area and perimeter. We're going to touch on a few math/science challenges over the next several days as well.

Finally, report cards will come home with your child next Tuesday. FYI, for the final report card, I seal the envelope.

Year-End Party Monday!

Look for a sign-up genius to come home tonight to sign up for a Monday afternoon event. Mr. Foreman provides the goodies for an ice cream sundae bar and then sends the sugar-laden students home for one more night's sleep as fourth graders!

Thank You to the Survivors

While many of you sat in the comfort of your home or office on Friday, three brave men accompanied us to Jamestown. A special thanks to Larry Sandridge, John Ratcliffe, and Jeff Grosfeld for ensuring that the 20 students who left with us came home Friday night. Your children were incredibly well behaved and received compliments from the bus driver and our two guides. The guides were especially impressed with what they already knew about Jamestown.
