Thinking Maps
Teaching and Learning With Specific Visual Patterns
Training @ CBHS, January 28 and February 4, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Camelback High School invites you to attend Thinking Maps training on Wednesday, January 28 and Wednesday, February 4, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Camelback High School Library. Bring your PLC Team members or your closest colleagues, and learn how to implement the eight maps in your content area and prepare to introduce them to your students immediately.
Thinking Maps empower students to become independent thinkers by providing a concrete visual design for eight abstract thought processes. The maps can be applied in any content area and are most effective when used by all members of the school community.
Register by e-mailing Cortney Stewart (cstewart@phoenixunion.org). Please keep in mind that participants must be able to commit to BOTH training dates: January 28 and February 4. Light snacks will be served; all participants will earn 6.0 professional development hours.
NOTE: It is recommended that all participants have a copy of the notebook "Thinking Maps: A Language for Learning" at the time of training. Notebooks can be ordered using Title I monies. Click here for an order form.
Sincerely,
Cortney Stewart, Katie Larkin, Amy Kiefling, Rebecca Reimers, & Erika Wimble
