There is no school on Thursday or Friday this week. Holiday Break begins Thursday, December 22, 2022. Students and staff return to school on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.


During the break, the Westwood High School office will be open December 27, 28, and 29 from 7-3 pm.

WHS Pep Band in Action

WHS students attend the semi-annual teen Cuisine Etiquette Luncheon at NMU

On Thursday, December 8th, Mrs. Jurasin’s Teen Cuisine class traveled to NMU for the Semi-Annual teen Cuisine Etiquette Luncheon. The students are treated to a four-course meal with traditional table settings. This event is a tremendous experience for our students and one they look forward to every year! Here is the menu from the luncheon:


Course I: Cream of tomato bisque with cream fraiche and basil oil

Course II: Baby bib lettuce wraps with balsamic vinaigrette

Course III: Apple, dried cranberry, and maple stuffing, breast of chicken with apple pan gravy, whipped Idaho potatoes, roasted seasonal vegetables.

Course IV: Chocolate ganache tart with fresh berries and raspberry coulis
