Cell Cycle
Morgan and Megan
Interphase
cells spend 90% of their time in this phase. It's divided up into three separate phases.
(1) G- "growth first phase"- cell growth
(2) S- "synthesis"- DNA replicate (make copy)
(3)- "growth second phase"- Prepare for mitosis
Mitosis
Process in which 2 daughter cells are made. there is four parts to Mitosis.
Prophase
Chromatin condenses to form a chromosome, nucleus/nuclear membrane disappear. Centrioles move to opposite ends.
Anaphase
Sister chromotids move apart. centromere divide.
Telophase
2 new nuclei (nucleus) form, chromosomes change into chromatin. Looks like a peanut.
