Declare His Glory Among the Nations
Germany Short Term Mission Trip
Germany Mission Trip
This summer, I will be going to Germany with a team from church, The Village Church. We will be partnering with European Initiative in the German cities of Berlin and Cologne where our heart is to spread the Gospel to Syrian refugees and Europeans. We will have outreaches in the city centers and partner with local German churches.
Details at a Glance:
When: July 14-23, 2016
Where: Cologne & Berlin, Germany
With Who: A team from The Village Church and European Initiative
Why: God has delivered me from the domain of darkness and transferred me into the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom I have redemption, the forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:13-14).
For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." How then will they call on him in whom they have not believe? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!" Romans 10: 13-15

Why Germany?
The trip to Germany came about in such a sweet way. Being a teacher allows me the opportunity to do missions during the summer, which is such a blessing. After a great deal of consideration and prayer, I decided I should not return to Guatemala this summer or other developing countries due to my lovely immune system. Therefore, I started praying and researching for trips and opportunities.
Three things have really stirred my heart for the Syrians: hearing of the Syrian Refugee Crisis last summer, being Syrian myself and teaching a student from Syria this year. Thus, when I received a text in March from a girl I went to Guatemala with asking me to consider going to Germany to serve Syrian Refugees, I knew I had to really consider it.
After prayer, talking with doctors, friends, and moving my graduate school courses, I committed to going to Germany to share the Gospel with Syrian Refugees and Europeans. I am not sure what the Lord is going to do on and through this trip, but I know that He goes before and that His name will be exalted among the nations.

Will you partner with me?
- PRAY. Pray for my team and me as we meet and prepare for our trip. Pray for team unity, boldness, financial provision, and for the Lord to be glorified. Pray for the hearts of those who we will meet.
- GIVE. You can contribute here through our church (setting up an account is easy and allows for a tax deduction). If you have any difficulties or questions, please ask me!
Want to stay updated?
