Supporting Fellow NISD Schools
The staff members were appreciative of the support from the Garcia community. Thank you for your donations.
Special thank you to Angela McDonald (PTA President) and Lisa Brown (PTA Programs Chair) for their leadership in this community outreach.
Need a gift idea for your 8th grader?
Our 8th grade students will go to Fiesta Texas on April 5th to apply the information they are learning in science to the real world. Students will investigate laws of physics such as inertia, action-reaction, acceleration, balanced and unbalanced forces as they apply to amusement park rides. Additionally, they will calculate speed, velocity and acceleration. Eighth grade math teachers will additionally be providing calculation problems to align with their TEKS. Last year, we were able to apply concepts in weather to real world situations.
Students will be able to use their season pass on the field trip. If they do not have a pass, they may purchase a day pass for $35.
