Principal's Message
Dear Hoover Families,
I hope everyone continue to stay safe amidst the rise in the number of positive COVID cases happening statewide. For the most part, cases have remained on the mild side, but it is a reminder that we need to continue to stay vigilant. Even thought the state has made masks optional, I continue to encourage everyone to wear a mask, as they have been proven to help contain and slow down the spread of the virus.
CASSPP STATE TESTING FOR 3RD-8TH GRADERS
We continue state testing this week, pls make sure that you bring your children to school daily and on time. Most of the students are already finished, but we do have a few students working on make ups. Thanks for your support with state testing

Please continue to use these tips
- Take note of the dates for the assessment and bring your children to school daily and on time during those days
- Practice, practice, practice (see the link above for practice questions)
- Make sure that your child gets a good night sleep so he/she can do his/her best in the test
- Make sure that your child eats a healthy breakfast, either at home, or choose from the healthy items that we offer at Hoover
- Talk to your child about the test, ask him/her how he/she did, express interest and stress the importance of doing a great job on the test, without pressure.
- Ask the teacher how the test is going, and how you can help at home
I-Ready
Students in Kinder, first and second grade continue to take the I-Ready assessment, so it is also very important that those students be here daily and on time.
Yosemite for 8th graders from June 5-9
Our next big field trip is Yosemite for 8th graders, I hope that you already have all the information that is required, but should you have any questions, pls do not hesitate to contact us at 650-482-2408.
Open House June 1st.
Due to the increase of positive COVID cases at Hoover, Open House will be held virtually once again this year. Open House will be June 1st, we will share more information with all families as we get closer to the date. Stay tuned!

Parents, please be aware that there have been recent changes and updated to the Pandemic Recovery Framework, please take the time to read and note those changes.
In order to test, you MUST register, one time registration needed, if you are already registered, there is no need to register again. I highly encourage you to register your child at the following link: Registration for Free Covid Testing.

Tickets for Graduation
Congratulations on having your child graduate! We are excited to share that Eighth-grade graduation tickets are available for pick up at the Hoover Family Center during specific times. Please stop by the Family Center to pick up your graduation tickets either Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 8:00 am - 9:30 am, or on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm.

Disclaimer: Please be mindful that there will be NO replacement of graduation tickets if you lose or misplace your graduation tickets.
