Our Town Happenings Week #32

Reagan Elementary :: Leander Independent School District

Week of May 2 - 6, 2016

WELCOME TO 4TH GRADE!

We believe that one of the biggest indicators of a child's success in school is the communication flow between school and home. To that end, we will be communicating what's happening around our hood on a weekly basis. We'll highlight the current week's activities, what's coming up on the horizon, homework expectations, and any other additional information that you may find helpful as 4th grade parents. We often err on the side of over-informing to ensure you have all the information you need to help us partner together in making this a great year for your child. We know your time is valuable and your email boxes overflowing, but please take a moment to read our memo each week.

Weekly newsletters may also be found archived on our class website under the "Weekly Newsletters" page. Questions and/or comments? Please let us know!

Our Best,

Karen & Stephanie

    OUR WEEK IN PICTURES

It was a busy week around Our Town, and not just because we had Monday off school! We wrapped up our Shark Tank persuasion unit this week (GREAT job by all!), and challenged students to hide animals in plain sight and were amazed as they elevated camouflage to an art form. We also participated in a mini Olympic games in an attempt to generate data to create dot plots, stem and leaf graphs, and other data tables. Analyzing geometric shapes, and types of lines, as well as refining our protractor measurement skills were the focus of a BreakoutEDU challenge on Friday.
