Mill Valley Weekly

Thursday, January 30th, 2020

Hello Mill Valley Families.

It's hard to believe it's been 3 months since Mrs. Harris had her baby. We would like to thank Mrs. Plaushines for filling in and helping us out. Mrs. Harris will be back at Mill Valley on Monday, February 3rd.

In continuing our efforts to improve our end of the day pick up, we invite any parents who are interested to join us in the library at 3:45pm on Tuesday, February 4th. Your student is welcome to read quietly in the library while attending the meeting.

Please be mindful of the 10 minute parking spots at the end of the day. They are available to park in AFTER 3:35. Many students are getting picked up early for appointments and those parents do not have a place to park. THANK YOU!

Snowshoeing in Phy Ed ~ Parent Volunteers Needed

Beginning Tuesday, February 4th, we will be snowshoeing in 3rd & 4th grade Phy Ed classes.

100th Day of School!

On Friday, February 7, we will be celebrating the 100th day of school.

To celebrate this special day, we will be dressing up like we are 100 years old. If you would like to participate, it’s easy! Here are a few ideas that may help you dress the part!

Please do not use the 10 minute parking spots for drop-off in the morning We would like to reserve those spots for our 9:00am speech groups who are walked in by their parents. The main lot is available if you wish to walk your student to the door. We appreciate your understanding.

Did you know arriving on time to school:
  • Makes sure that your child doesn’t miss out on the important learning activities that happen early in the day when they are most alert.
  • Helps your child to learn about routines and commitment.
  • Gives your child time to greet their friends before class. This can reduce the possibility of disruptions in the classroom.
  • Arriving late can make your child feel uncomfortable and can disrupt learning.
  • Being on time every day makes children feel good about themselves.
