Mission Maximize!

LVJHS Weekly Bulletin 2/6/2016

Dear LVJHS Family,

This week was National School Counseling Week. LVJHS is fortunate to have two caring professionals serving our students as counselors. Our counselors, Mrs. Fey and Mrs. Mondragon wear many hats and play an integral role in defining the culture of our school. William Shakespeare once wrote: "We know what we are, but not what we may be." Shakespeare's words remind us that the future is unknown. All students deserve guidance and support in creating a purposeful positive future, and our students have Mrs. Fey and Mrs. Mondragon here to do just that. Please make sure to thank Mrs. Fey and Mrs. Mondragon for all they do to support our students.

Thank you all for making LVJHS a great place for students!

Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Guevara!

We are proud to announce Mrs. Guevara as our spotlight staff member for the week! Mrs. Guevara works to ensure our campus is clean and welcoming to all of the members of the school community. Mrs. Guevara always welcomes everyone with a warm smile, and she takes on many jobs to make sure LVJHS is a great place for students. Her positive can do attitude is always appreciated by students and staff. We are very excited to recognize Mrs. Guevara as our staff spotlight of the week!

Fundamental Five Focus...

Recognize and reinforce is utilizing one of the most important tools in our tool box--our words. We can use these words to either build our students confidence and self-esteem or undermine them by destroying their self-image. Do not be frugal with your praise! Give students the home field advantage in your classroom!
