Lego Story Starter Grant Award! Lego PLP extended!

Thanks to the Virginia Beach Education Foundation, we have received funding for extension sets to provide more options to the Story Starter kits! If you were unable to attend the Lego Story Starter PLP a few weeks ago, please let me know. If I have enough interest, I will schedule another session for you to learn how to use this valuable resource in your classroom.

Maker Space Launch!

We have officially launched our first MakerSpace stations in the library for 4th and 5th grade students and it is a hit! Our goal is to provide materials, tools and space for students to explore, create and learn! Our current stations are Legos, bookmarks, and making 3-D shapes. Third grade will join MakerSpace shortly with 2nd grade to follow soon after. I look forward to collaborating with teachers to create future MakerSpace stations incorporating curricular objectives into hands on exploration and challenges!

Great Reading and Research Sources!
