Go Fourth!
News & tidbits from HRRS 4th grade
September 24, 2015
We are sure enjoying beautiful fall weather. We had quite a lot going on with a busy string of events, which started last Friday with our Chocolate Assembly. On Tuesday we had our very first fire drill, and I am pleased to report everyone did very well! After having no school Wednesday, the 4th graders served beautifully in their various roles at Thursday Mass. Friday morning is our first math test of the year. We also have the chocolate sale continuing on through October 1st, and our first Scholastic Order is open till next week Wednesday. Phew!
I mentioned some of our subject matter last week. This week in Science we started going over the Scientific Method in preparation for our first Foss Kit 'adventure'. We'll be beginning the Environments Kit next week.
I am planning to continue including the IXL and Raz Kids (perhaps Tenmarks or other in the future) sites for practice and homework. Please let me know if your student is unable to get online to access these sites.
As a class, we have been enjoying our current read-aloud book, The King of the Wind, a Newbery award winner by Marguerite Henry. When you have a moment, ask your child to tell you about it!
Blessings!
Mrs. Ramos
