Greetings,
In many cases, you became teachers overnight! Thank you!
Please stay tuned throughout the summer. My newsletters will slow down, but plan to communicate every other week or when necessary.
Once again, thank you all for your support throughout this time! It has made us all better. I am looking forward to continuing our relationship with you and your students for the upcoming school year!
Have a wonderful Father's Day weekend and a safe summer.
Be well,

Letter From Superintendent Gumina
Dear Webster CSD Parents/Guardians,
I wanted to thank all of you who chose to exercise your right to vote in this year’s budget vote and board of education election. As you know, all aspects of life have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, including the way school districts held this year’s vote. Per Governor Cuomo’s executive order, all districts’ budget votes and board of education elections were held by absentee ballot only this year. I can’t thank enough Webster CSD District Clerk Cindy Cushman and her team for their work in making this atypical vote year run so smoothly. More than 10,000 Webster CSD community members voted and approved the budget and bus proposition by a nearly two to one margin. Thank you.
One Webster voters also elected Janice Richardson, Mike Alt, and Mike Suffoletto to serve on the board of education. I’m thankful to all of them for being willing to support our district and its students, families, faculty, and staff in this way. As we continue to develop a reopening plan for our district this September, their expertise and support will be of utmost importance. None of us can create this plan alone; it has been and will continue to be a team effort. Thank you, Janice, Mike, and Mike! I also want to thank outgoing board member Jan Strege for all that she has contributed to our district during her years of service.
Our district, along with all New York State districts are waiting to receive guidance and requirements from the governor’s office, and the New York State Education Department and Department of Health as we look at all aspects of developing our reopening plan for September. I know how anxious all of us are to know specifics, so I thank you for your continued patience. Our district is working with Webster Central PTSA to get as much parental feedback as possible for that reopening plan. We plan to send all of our families a detailed feedback form and survey within the next few days that will allow us to collect all of your voices.
Have a wonderful summer, everyone! I can’t wait to see your kids again on the district’s much-anticipated first day -- only 75 days away (currently scheduled for Wednesday, September 2)!
