Monday Message
from Susan M. Hasenauer, Superintendent
Monday, May 10, 2021
Dear Families,
Many of you are aware our school community suffered a tremendous loss over the weekend. Anytime we lose a child, words can seem so feeble in times like these, as we know words cannot take away the emotion that is being felt.
With that being said, our counseling and support staff at the high school have been amazing with assisting both students and staff today. In addition, our school community is being supported by the W-FL BOCES Trauma, Illness and Grief (TIG) team. Because we know grieving looks different for everyone and there is no set timetable, dedicated staff will continue to provide guidance and counseling services to students, staff, and family members as needed. We understand that in these moments we may feel better one minute and sad the next, so please don't forget we are here for you. You can also access a list of resources HERE.
Sincerely,
Sue Hasenauer
Congratulations to Jeff Hamelinck!!
