It's a Marvelous Monday at JSE

Good Afternoon, JSE Families,

We enjoyed mingling with you Friday evening while viewing the art of EVERY student in our building! A huge thank you to Mr. Dickey and Mrs. Morton for making this night an annual event. Through your support we are able to purchase new books for our library!

We are making tracks in the community! Many JSE and UCE 5th graders visited Ivy Tech together! Students traveled after-school to Ivy Tech in Valparaiso to learn about their local community college. They learned about college costs, scholarships, and many of the two year programs that are offered. We are all so proud that our young students are thinking about their future! Way to go! Thank you to Ivy Tech and Mrs. Alonzo for making this an inspiring afternoon.

Field trip pictures are a wonderful way to capture friendships that have formed through the year and celebrate end of the year learning. Thank you to our parent chaperons, teachers for organizing, and PTO support to make these learning experiences possible.

Our JSE and UCE choirs performed marvelously together at the Porter County Sheriff's Memorial Service today! And good luck to our 5th graders as they visit UTMS on Tuesday. Students will visit classes, tour the school, meet teachers and staff, and enjoy lunch for the first time in the WHS cafe.

Thank you for being our partners in education,

Leigh Barnes
