Thank You Wharton Families
Mrs. Armstrong Says "Goodbye" to the Wharton School District
Dear Wharton Community,
I would like to say that is has been such a privilege to teach in this district for the last 17 years. Wharton will always hold a special place in my heart. Your children have been amazing and I have enjoyed getting to know so many families in such a supportive and caring district.
Also, I would like to give a special "shout-out" to the 5th grade classes of 2012-13 and 2014-15 for their hard work raising money for Books for Bolivia. I want to let you know that the 250 books that I took the first year have grown to over 1,000 books! Others have donated, including the American Embassy in La Paz. Also, Hope Worldwide has been contacted by some Bolivian businesses that want to donate. The books continue to be checked out to children in the Hospital Arco Iris and many low-income preschools and orphanages. Since, there is no children's library in La Paz, these books are serving a great purpose. The seed you have planted continues to grow!
Best wishes always,
Mrs. Armstrong
