Dear Robert Hunter families,

We had another great Halloween celebration with Cohort B this week, and so many students shared that they had an amazing day! Thank you to everyone who helped make the best out of a challenging situation! We look forward to more school events this year! Next week, our virtual Walkathon begins! All students are encouraged to walk as much as they can from Nov. 9th-25th and post pictures on our school Padlet! More information is included in the flyer below on how students can collect pledges that support the PTO. We will have a kick-off celebration with all of the students on Friday (whether they are in school or at home), and we hope many families will participate in this great fundraiser for our school!

As a reminder, please ensure that you have signed up for a conference with your child’s teacher. If you would like a translator to be present, let your child’s teacher know. Please know that although conferences are scheduled in November, we encourage your questions and input throughout the year.

As you know, the number of coronavirus cases has increased across the state and our school district. Please continue to follow health recommendations to keep your family safe and minimize the spread of the virus. We continue to monitor protocols at Robert Hunter as health and safety is our number one priority.

All students are expected to take part in our full instructional day. Attendance is critically linked to students’ success. Should a child have an appointment, or not be able to take part in any of our live instructional day, our main office must be notified (908-284-7620). You may also use our school’s online absence notification form HERE. Should any part of the day be missed, the student’s attendance will be marked as an early out or tardy through Parent Portal (Genesis).


If a family has challenges with technology, such as Zoom links, connectivity issues, or a device malfunction, please notify our main office at 908-284-7620. This way, we can adjust attendance on Genesis accordingly, as we do not want children to be penalized for technology challenges. The main office can assist in getting children into class zoom links. Technology Parent Hotline should be called in addition to the main office if there is a device issue or other technology issue that cannot be resolved. The contact information is:

Cohort Changes

At this point, we are remaining with our same Cohort A and Cohort B rotation. Families wishing to change from virtual instruction to hybrid OR from hybrid to virtual instruction, must submit a letter to Mrs. Glaab. Please submit any requests for changes to Mrs. Glaab at by Nov. 11.

Thank you to everyone who submitted a nomination for Teacher of the Year! Please remember that you may also nominate an Educational Services Professional!

Please note that Teacher Assistants may also be nominated for the Educational Services Professional award. Please complete the nomination form below for one teacher and one educational professional that you think deserves recognition! You may email the completed form below to Mrs. Braynor at or print the form and bring it to the main office. Nominations are due by Friday, Nov. 13th.

Makeup Picture Day- November 11th

Thank you to all who took part in our picture days last week. Be sure to place your photo orders; those smiling faces make great holiday gifts! Did you miss our drive-thru picture days last week? No worries! Just click on the link below to register for our Makeup Day November 11th from 2:30 to 4pm.

On photo day you will drive up to the front of school and when instructed your child will get out of the car, be photographed and then return to your vehicle.
