Parents' Right to Know
The following information may be requested:
- Whether your child's teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction
- Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which state qualification or licensing criteria have been waived
- Whether the teacher is teaching in the field of discipline of the certification of the teacher
- Whether the child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.
Home-Parent-Student Compact A School-Parent Compact is a jointly developed agreement with parents. The compact outlines how parents, the entire school staff, and students will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement and how they will work together as partners to make sure that all students reach grade-level standards. | School Family Engagement Policy A school Family Engagement Policy describes how the school will provide opportunities to improve family engagement to support student learning. The purpose is to establish an equal partnership for the common goal of improving student achievement. This plan describes the school's expectations for family and parent engagement, ways that Anne Street will implement and support specific family engagement activities, and how parents can help plan and participate in activities and events to promote student learning at home and at school. | District PolicyDid you know that the Griffin-Spalding County School System also has a Parent Resource Center?
