STAAR Testing Monday and Tuesday
Here's how you can help your child do their best this round of testing:
Please make sure your child:
- get a good night of sleep Sunday and Monday.
- eat a healthy breakfast. (Think protein!)
- brings a healthy snack that won't get their hands messy and doesn't require utensils.
- has a water bottle to drink.
- brings a light jacket, sweatshirt, or sweater. (Think layers!)
We are encouraging students to dress comfortably for testing. They are going to spend a lot of time in their seats Monday and Tuesday.
Your student may bring chewing gum, peppermints, and/or Lemonheads to have during theirs snacks to help with focus and attention during the test.
A note on electronics:
We are required to collect all electronics during the test. If your child MUST bring a device Monday and Tuesday please know that we will ask them to turn them off, turn them in so that we can lock them up outside of the testing room.
Thanks in advance for your support!!!

Balance Feels Best
I take care of my body by eating right, exercising and getting sleep. I spend time with family and friends. I learn in lots of ways and lots of places, not just at school. I find meaningful ways to help others.
