COMMUNITY RESOURCES
In Their Shoes: Building Healthy Relationships
This event is free and for folks 14+
Join us for an opportunity to explore healthy relationship dynamics and become acquainted with crucial aspects of intimate partner violence prevention. Facilitators will lead teens 14+ and any interested adults through an experiential simulation called In Their Shoes, followed by a discussion about recognizing both healthy and problematic behaviors in relationships.
Participants will gain perspective on what it means to be a youth experiencing intimate partner violence, learn about types of abuse that aren’t physical but can be equally as destructive, understand the importance of advocacy, and collect information on local resources.
By the end of this presentation, you’ll gain the understanding necessary to speak to someone impacted by Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) about their experience and direct them to potentially life-saving resources.
