Instructional Materials Quality Evaluation Pilot (IMQE)
Benefits of Participation
Districts who are selected to join the IMQE pilot will gain access to the following benefits:
- Exclusive access to the completed pilot quality reviews for ELAR 3–8 by May of 2019, which can be used to inform their purchasing decisions for the 2019–2020 and/or 2020–2021 school year.
- The opportunity to nominate educators to serve on the quality review teams. Selected reviewers receive free, high-quality professional development, for which they will earn continuing professional education (CPE) credit, and are paid a stipend for each complete review.
- An invitation to the Instructional Materials Quality Review Summit, which will take place once the portal is established. Additionally, pilot LEAs may receive selection preference in a future Request for Letters of Interest to receive grant funds to offset travel costs to the Summit. Additional details will be determined based on available funding.

ELAR Pilot Rubric Feedback
Rubric Feedback is due by November 15th.
*Note: There are 2 versions of the rubric. One includes the Sample TEKS Relationship & one does not.*
TEA Needs ELAR 3-8 Reviewers
TEA is needing Texas Educator Reviewers to apply to review resources for ELAR 3-8. This does not have to be a teacher but is open to any Texas educator who has a background in ELAR 3-8. The official deadline for those applications has been extended to October 29th, however, applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.
Selected reviewers will receive the following benefits:
- Free, high-quality training & on-going professional development for which they will earn CPE credits.
- Receipt of a stipend upon successfully completing the review process for a set of instructional materials.
