ACT Aspire, Sophomores Only!

The Sophomores will take the ACT Aspire Tests on April 12th and 13th. The students will be involved in testing from 8:00 - 12:00 both mornings. Students are encouraged to bring a snack to eat during their break. Students will not have access to their cell phones during the testing period.

College Visit Days, Juniors & Seniors Only!

Juniors and Seniors will be excused on April 12th and 13th for college visit days. All Juniors and Seniors will be allowed excused absences on both days to visit colleges, technical schools, and career centers. This is a great time for Juniors to explore their plans for the future and for Seniors to finalize their plans for next year!

Panther Writing Lab

Tuesday, April 12th, 3:30pm

CHS Lab 2407

What: An opportunity for extra help on writing assignments, including help planning and editing.

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 - 4:30

Where: Computer Lab 2407

Students must come to the lab with an assignment they need help with, not just a skill.

Agriculture Completers

Attention Seniors, if you believe that you are a completer in any Agriculture Pathway please stop by room AG 137 to see Mrs. Williams to make sure your name is on the list.

FACS Completers

There is a preliminary list of Family and Consumer Science Completers posted outside of Mrs. Vance's room in Champs Hall. Please check the list as soon as possible. If your name's not on the list, and you feel it should be, please see Mrs. Vance no later than this Friday, April, 8th.

Business Completers

Seniors - If you think you will be a completer in a Business Technology Pathway stop by CHAMPS Hall and check the list posted outside of Room 113. If you have questions, see the pathway teacher, either Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Lovellette, or Mrs. Wade.

CTE Completer

If you are a senior who is not currently enrolled in a Career Tech class but feel you have taken the proper coursework to be considered a CTE Completer, please see a teacher in your pathway by Friday, April 15th, to make sure your name is on the list to receive a certificate and possibly a cord.

Sports Medicine Completers

Attendance: Students must attend all day until they finish. Students may finish before June 28th!!

Lunch: Lunch is NOT provided. Students may bring a lunch or leave campus during the 30 minute lunch break.

Cell Phones: May not be used during class time and must be silent.

Transportation: NOT provided

Curriculum: APEX online learning. Work at your own pace. In addition to coming to class, students are expected to work at home and must have access to the internet.

Grading: 0-59% F, 60-69% D, 70-79% C, 80-89% B and 90-100% A

Food/Drinks: Not permitted

Absences: Not recommended. There are only 20 days of Summer School!!

Registration Information

Registration forms and information sheets are available in the Counseling Centers of both Jr. Highs, the Freshman Academy, ACE, and the High School. Students taking Credit Recovery courses or Health must complete a traditional Summer School Registration Form. There is a separate Registration Packet for PE. Complete a registration form and submit it to your student’s Counseling Center along with payment. Checks should be made payable to Cabot Public Schools.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Seniors: the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now availavle for seniors planning to attend a college, university or technical school. Applications are available at The FAFSA must be completed in order to be considered for the AR Academic Challenge Scholarship, aka the Lottery Scholarship.


Seniors - IMPORTANT - The list of Seniors receiving Medallions for graduation is listed on the board in front of the office. Please go by ASAP and check the list. If you have any questions or concerns, please go to the counseling center.

Cabot Bands To Host AR 10 Mile Classic

The 2nd annual Arkansas 10 Mile Classic is sponsored by the Cabot Bands and all proceeds will benefit the band program.

Spring Spirit Week Flowers

Spring Spirit Week is right around the corner and so is Prom 2016! For three days you can pre-order live flowers to be sent to a friend or to that someone special for only $3.00. Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday of this week only you can pre-order carnations that will be delivered on Friday, April 22nd during first and second period. This is a great way to kick off Prom weekend, so order your fresh carnations for $3.00 each in the lunchroom during both lunches.

CHS yearbook featured in 2015 Jostens Look Book

CHS' yearbook, (name of yearbook), has been recognized for excellence and featured in the 2016 Jostens Look Book, celebrating the best-of-the-best in yearbook design and coverage. The Jostens Look Book is a collection of spreads and photos from outstanding yearbooks and their creative themes, cool covers, dazzling designs, relevant coverage, storytelling copy and action-packed photography. Along with design excellence, the annually published Look Book honors the important role well-crafted yearbooks play in helping schools chronicle the experiences, stories and achievements most relevant to students and that academic year.

Arkansas Lottery Scholarship Application, Seniors Only!

The Arkansas Lottery Scholarship Application is available now. A student must have a 19 on his/her ACT in order to apply for the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and parents must have completed and submitted their 2015 taxes in order to complete the Arkansas Lottery Application.
