Staying Connected during "Safer at Home" Orders
Dear EEELP Families,
We hope you and your children are healthy and safe during the District's Extended Spring Break and our state's "Safer at Home" orders. We encourage you to stay connected with us during this time by staying in touch with our Head Teachers, Teachers, and Office Staff. We are here to assist and support you while working remotely.
The EEELP Office Staff is ensuring that all payments that were submitted to us for the days our programs are closed in March, from Preschool, School Age and RAP programs, are submitted to the Accounts Payable department for reimbursement to you this week. This has already been done for those who had enrolled and paid for Spring Break attendance. You are always welcome to contact your school's Head Teacher and Program Supervisor should you want further information pertaining to your individual question or concern. Their emails are found on our webpage, below announcements, and under the heading Contact Information for School Sites.
This week schools are providing chromebooks to students who need devices in preparation for enrichment and Distance Learning. Our department teachers are working this week on ways to stay connected with families and students in our programs once Distance Learning begins for GUSD students enrolled in EEELP. Lastly, no child should go hungry during this time. Free breakfast and lunch (grab and go) are available for all children under 18 beginning March 24, 2020. Find a location convenient to you, by checking this link.
We encourage you to stay connected with us through email with staff, by visiting the Department's Facebook page, and by checking the GUSD page dedicated to Coronavirus Updates and Information for schools and programs.
2020-2021 Enrollment Coming Soon
After-care enrollment for 2020-2021 will begin after students return to school with the intention of having space for every child who needs childcare. We will notify school front offices and our families when enrollment for next school year begins.
Please note: all currently-enrolled students will have a spot for childcare, however you will still need to re-enroll when the window opens for 2020-2021 after-school enrollment.
Please check back on our website, www.gusd.net/eeelp, or contact the Head Teacher at your school for updates after May 5.
