Spring STAR testing
James Hart uses STAR assessments to help teachers understand what students know and are ready to learn. It is time to take the STAR spring benchmark assessment. The spring benchmark allows for teachers/administration to see areas of growth in our students.
We will be testing 6th, 7th, and 8th graders on May 3rd and 4th. Students will be taking the reading STAR assessment in their ELA classes and the Math assessment with their math teachers.
Please help remind your child to have their computer charged and ready to go for testing. Thank you for your assistance, please contact me or the office with any questions.
Have a wonderful day.

Screen Free Week: Starting May 2nd
Screen-Free Week is an annual invitation to play, explore, and rediscover the joys of life beyond ad-supported screens. During the first week of May, thousands of families, schools, and communities around the world will put down their entertainment screens for seven days of fun, connection, and discovery.
This week is sponsored by the Homewood PTA and Homewood Library. Students will receive a copy of the Screen-Free Bingo Board in the attachment below on Monday, May 2nd. There are great prizes for the Advisory classes that complete and submit the most Bingo boards!
