We're Going on a Field Trip
Please return your child's signed permission and emergency forms with payment of $7.00, payable to OC Taylor, for your child's admission.
If you would like to be considered as a chaperone, you must have completed the GCISD Background check. Please click here http://www.gcisd-k12.org/site/Default.aspx?PageID=474 to reach the GCISD website to complete the form. All chaperones must pay in advance and provide their own transportation.
We are looking forward to a fun learning time at the aquarium!
O.C. Taylor Tigers Salute our Veterans!
In honor of Veterans Day, we will collect Wal-Mart gift cards to donate to the Ft. Worth Veterans Hospital. Local veterans can use these gift cards to buy groceries, medications, household needs and even gas. Please turn in gift cards to your teacher or the OCT front office by Wednesday, Nov. 8.
Tip Your Hat to our Veterans day is Friday, Oct. 13, and Friday, Nov. 3. Bring $1 to school to donate to the local veterans hospital and wear a hat to school! This is a FUN and EASY way to make a donation in honor of our veterans.
If you have a picture of a veteran you wish to hang on the Wall of Honor, please label your picture with your name, the veteran’s name and the branch of the military they served in. Turn in your pictures to your teacher or Mrs. Vencill by Wednesday, Nov 8. Your pictures will be returned to you after Veterans Day.
Our 3rd and 4th grade students are preparing music to perform at our annual Veterans Day program on Friday, Nov. 10, at 8:30 a.m. in the OCT cafeteria. 3rd and 4th grade students should wear red, white, and blue for our performance. There is a reception in the library immediately following the program for Veterans, honored guests, and their families. If you know a veteran who would like to speak during our Veterans Day program, please contact Mrs. Vencill at Bethany.vencill@gcisd.net.
